About
Dr. Allison Siebern, PhD, DAc, LAc, CBSM is a neuroscience-based doctor of acupuncture and sleep medicine psychologist specializing in sleep, mood, and neurological health. As a neuro-acupuncturist and pioneer in the field of integrative sleep health, she blends her training and expertise in neuroscience-based acupuncture, near-infrared transcranial photobiomodulation, psychophysiology, cognitive behavioral medicine, and clinical neuroscience to offer patients an integrative treatment approach.

She has been working in the field of sleep medicine for over 15 years and is board certified in behavioral sleep medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. She is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at the Stanford School of Medicine Sleep Center, the birthplace of clinical sleep medicine and pioneering sleep research. She has been faculty at Stanford since 2010 and has treated hundreds of patients with sleep disorders of all ages since she has been in practice. At the Stanford Sleep Center, she served for many years as Clinical Assistant Professor, Associate Director and Co-fellowship Training Director of the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program and continues in an adjunct role maintaining involvement in research and training future sleep specialists. In addition, Dr. Siebern is currently a sleep medicine psychologist with the Durham VA Health Care System. She has been published in peer reviewed journals, national media outlets, has acted as a consultant with companies on sleep and scientific psychology topics, and serves on the editorial board for Sleep Science and Practice. She served as one of three Scientific Sleep Advisors for Fitbit, Inc on the sleep stages project sharing her sleep expertise with Fitbit’s research and development team and was Head Sleep Science Advisor for Proper Labs, Inc at which time she developed the sleep coaching platform.
Dr. Siebern has a passion for helping patients improve their sleep, mood, and neurological health. This led her to open Integrative Sleep Wake Health, PLLC, an in-person and telehealth practice.
